Foundation Certification Preparation

CAPM® Certification Preparation

Build examination readiness across project-management fundamentals, predictive methods, agile approaches and business analysis through structured practice and feedback.

Prepare systematically for CAPM® while building practical project judgement.

CAPM® Certification Preparation provides a structured route through the current Certified Associate in Project Management examination content and the foundational decisions expected of developing project professionals.

The programme combines focused concept review with scenario-based questions, timed practice, answer-rationale analysis and a personal revision plan. Participants learn how predictive, agile and business-analysis concepts fit together rather than memorising isolated terms.

This programme is distinct from Project Management Essentials. Essentials focuses on broad workplace application and integrated project delivery; this course focuses on certification mapping, examination reasoning, practice questions and candidate readiness.

What participants will be able to do.

By the end of the course, participants should be able to:

  • Explain the current CAPM® examination structure, domain weightings and candidate requirements.
  • Assess personal readiness and create a targeted preparation plan based on domain-level strengths and gaps.
  • Apply project-management fundamentals, lifecycle concepts, roles, governance, ethics, communication and value principles.
  • Use predictive planning concepts covering scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, risk, procurement and integrated control.
  • Interpret agile principles, adaptive delivery approaches, iteration, prioritisation, team practices and feedback.
  • Apply business-analysis concepts covering needs, stakeholders, requirements, traceability, acceptance and solution evaluation.
  • Recognise when predictive, adaptive or hybrid reasoning is most appropriate for a scenario.
  • Use structured decision logic to eliminate weak options and select the most defensible examination response.
  • Manage question interpretation, pacing, uncertainty and review under timed conditions.
  • Use diagnostic and mock-exam results to prioritise final study and readiness actions.

Designed for professionals beginning or formalising a project-management career.

  • Aspiring project managers.
  • Project coordinators and administrators.
  • Project analysts and PMO support professionals.
  • Project-team members seeking stronger foundational knowledge.
  • Graduates and career changers moving into project-based roles.
  • Professionals preparing for the CAPM® examination.

Eligibility and education claims must be verified.

  • Candidates should review and independently confirm the current CAPM® eligibility and application requirements before enrolment.
  • PMI currently requires a secondary degree or global equivalent and at least 23 hours of project-management education completed before the examination.
  • No prior project-management work experience is required by PMI for CAPM® eligibility.
  • This page does not claim that every INDENTRA delivery automatically satisfies the 23-hour education requirement; the specific course schedule and provider arrangement must be verified before publication and enrolment.
