Strategic Intelligence Programme

Business Intelligence, Knowledge Management and Evidence-Based Strategy

Turn data, intelligence and organisational knowledge into credible strategic evidence, shared insight and better management decisions.

Create the information and knowledge flows that strategy needs to make better decisions.

Organisations rarely suffer from a complete absence of data. More often, relevant evidence is fragmented, definitions differ, knowledge remains tacit, lessons are lost and decision-makers receive information without a clear connection to the choices they face.

This course integrates business intelligence, knowledge management and evidence-based strategy. Participants learn to frame strategic questions, define decision-relevant information, assess evidence quality, design knowledge flows and create management views that support interpretation rather than information overload.

The programme treats intelligence as a management capability: data, experience, external signals and organisational knowledge must be converted into insight, challenge and learning.

What participants will be able to do.

By the end of the course, participants should be able to:

  • Frame strategic questions that clarify what evidence decision-makers actually need.
  • Distinguish data, information, intelligence, knowledge and insight.
  • Assess evidence quality, relevance, timeliness, bias and limitations.
  • Define business-intelligence requirements around strategic decisions and value drivers.
  • Map critical knowledge flows, gaps, bottlenecks and dependencies.
  • Design mechanisms to capture, share and reuse explicit and tacit knowledge.
  • Develop concise strategic dashboards and narratives that support interpretation and challenge.
  • Create learning loops that connect decisions, outcomes, lessons and future strategy.

Designed for professionals who influence strategic choices or execution.

  • Strategy, planning and corporate-performance professionals.
  • Business-intelligence, analytics and management-information leaders.
  • Knowledge-management and organisational-learning professionals.
  • PMO, transformation and functional leaders who depend on reliable decision evidence.

Professionally accessible and application-focused.

No specialist data-science knowledge is required. Participants should have practical experience using organisational information for decisions.

Course information and participation.

Is this a technical BI software course?

No. It focuses on the management and decision logic behind business intelligence. Specific platforms can be incorporated into tailored delivery if required.

Do participants need data-analytics skills?

No advanced analytics is required. The emphasis is on framing questions, interpreting evidence and designing useful information flows.

How does knowledge management relate to strategy?

Strategic decisions depend on experience, lessons, expertise and contextual knowledge as well as formal data. The course shows how to make those knowledge flows more deliberate.

Can we use our dashboards or reports?

Yes. Corporate delivery can include a structured review of selected management information, dashboards and knowledge practices.

Does completion provide a professional certification?

The course may provide an INDENTRA completion record where applicable. No external BI or knowledge-management certification is implied.
