Welcome to "Procurement for Project Managers" – where we dive deep into acquiring goods and services, a vital skill for any successful project manager. Get ready to master the intricacies of procurement, ensuring you get the right resources at the right time for maximum project value.


Procurement for Project Managers is a three-day, integrated, case-study-based class. It discusses the processes required to acquire goods and services and attain project scope from outside the organization. The project manager needs to ensure that he/she is getting the right products or services at the right time and securing the best value for the project. The project manager procures a considerable portion of the products and services needed on a project. Thus, procurement management is a critical factor for the successful completion of a project. The project manager must develop and apply the necessary skills and competencies to manage it effectively and efficiently. This course is aligned with the latest version of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge® (PMI® Guide to the PMBOK®). Participants will learn and apply procurement management skills, tools, and techniques through case studies and hands-on activities in a project context.
