Systems Strategy Programme
Understand interdependencies, feedback, delays and unintended consequences so strategic interventions address the system rather than isolated symptoms.
Course overview
Many strategic problems resist simple solutions because outcomes are shaped by interacting parts, delayed effects, feedback loops, incentives and behaviour across organisational boundaries.
This course introduces practical systems thinking for strategy and complex organisations. Participants learn to define system boundaries, map stakeholders and variables, identify reinforcing and balancing feedback, recognise common system archetypes and locate leverage points.
The course helps leaders move from linear cause-and-effect explanations toward a more disciplined understanding of how interventions may create second-order effects, resistance or unintended consequences.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, participants should be able to:

Frequently asked questions
No. The course uses accessible mapping methods. Organisations may choose to use specialist tools in tailored delivery, but they are not required.
No. They are related but distinct. This course focuses on systemic reasoning for strategic and organisational issues rather than engineering lifecycle methods.
Yes. Systems thinking is particularly useful where multiple initiatives, stakeholders, incentives and dependencies interact.
Yes. Participants are encouraged to apply the methods to a strategic or organisational challenge alongside the course case.
The course may provide an INDENTRA completion record where applicable. No third-party certification is implied.
